If you've been browsing through our collection of sunglasses, you've probably seen our bestsellers HOBBES and NEW DEPP. Now, both of these models are round, but that is where their similarities end. Below, we are going to explain the differences between them and we're gonna throw our DEPP model into the mix.
First and foremost, the biggest difference between these models is the material. HOBBES is a pair of our injection sunglasses, while NEW DEPP and DEPP are handcrafted out of acetate. You can read about injection sunglasses, acetate sunglasses, and their respective properties here.
Second is the size. On a scale from smallest to largest, it goes DEPP, HOBBES, and then NEW DEPP.
When we first made DEPP, we quickly discovered that we needed a larger version, hence our NEW DEPP model. They are exactly the same besides the size and the colorways they are available in. DEPP comes in Champagne, Black, and Snow Leopard, while NEW DEPP comes in Champagne, Tortoise, Horn, Crystal Green, and Crystal Brown.
HOBBES is available both with "normal" lenses as well as Revo lenses, which have a mirrored effect. Our HOBBES (Revo) model is available in the most variations of any other model, including Crystal, Black, Army, and then five additional Revo colorways.
Two of our team members made a video, where they walk you through the differences. Check it out!
